MI Bridges Health Care
MI Bridges offers multiple programs to help those in need. Click each program below to learn more about the program and requirements.
The MICHILD & Healthy kids programs requirements are:
- Children under age 19
- Have no other health insurance
- Have a Social Security Number (or have applied for one)
- Live in Michigan, even for a short time
- Be a U.S. citizen or qualified immigrant
- Meet Modified Adjusted Gross Income limits
MIChild costs $10 per month for whole family. The Healthy Kids program is free.
The Healthy Michigan Plan provides health care benefits to Michigan residents at a low cost so that more people can have health care coverage. Those who do not meet the Medicaid eligibility requirements often qualify for Healthy Michigan Plans.
Eligibility requirements for Healthy Michigan Plans below:
- Must be between the ages of 19-64
- Have income at or below 133% of the federal poverty level (about $18,000 for a single person or $37,000 for a family of 4).
- Do not qualify or are not enrolled in Medicare
- Do not qualify or not enrolled in other Medicaid programs
- Are not pregnant at the time of application
- Are residents of the State of Michigan.
Medicaid - Medicaid available throughout pregnancy and during the 2 following months post pregnancy ending regardless of the reason.
Group 2 Pregnant Women - Expanded supports for pregnant women who exceed the income limit for Pregnant Women and is assigned a deductible.
Maternity Outpatient Medical Services (MOMS) - Provides health care coverage for pregnant women who are eligible for Emergency Services only. Providing outpatient prenatal services and postpartum services for 2 months after pregnancy ends. Medicaid Emergency Services only covers labor and delivery.
