Welcome to M-Train, your location for completing training required for providers who are serving MCN consumers.

Below you will find links to approve training sources and sign-ups for in person trainings. Check with your employer to be sure which trainings you are required to complete.

In Person Trainings Sign Up

• • • Sign up for Initial Recipient Rights Training - (In Person)
    • Sign up for Medication Administration Training - Available to only MCN Contracted Providers (In person)
    • Ukeru Training - Available to only MCN Contracted Providers (In person with limited seats available).
    • Please note: Ukeru training will be held at the Sheridan Community Center located at 205 St. Clair St, Sheridan, MI. Staff must arrive 15 minutes early for all in-person trainings

Online Trainings

Two sources used for online trainings.  M-Train and Improving MI Practices are approved for the below listed trainings.   Trainings sources not listed below must be pre-approved by MCN.

M-Train

M-Train is operated directly by MCN.  Study the materials and complete the associated test.

Improving MI Practices

Improving MI Practices is a State of MI sponsored site with vetted training materials.  In addition to the trainings listed below, the site offers many voluntary training options for those interested in further professional development.

      • Please be sure to provide Environmental Safety training specific to the employers facilities for any staff working on-site.

      • Initial: Online course at Improving MI Practices: Infection Control for Direct Care Workers
      • Renewal: Refresher course
    • HIPAA
    • Limited English Proficiency
    • Person Centered Planning
    • Trauma Informed Care

Community-Based Trainings

Approved sources for CPR/First Aid/Basic Life Support are through American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or National Safety Council and MUST include return demonstration.
